Summer Come Quick!

Seeing the snow fall today made me realize how bad I want summer to roll around. I'm so sick of the snow and the cold and not to mention that the snow is coming on a Friday night so we can't even get a snow day out of it! Then what else annoys me is when it is extremely sunny outside but the temperature is below zero. If its going to be like negative degrees outside it should at least be snowing. So I have decided that summer can't come soon enough. The warm weather and the sun and just hanging out. Not to mention school will be over and we will have graduated. So heres to saying goodbye to winter for good and praying summer comes quick!

Forgetfulness

Have you ever had one of theose days where you are just completely out of it and you do things that make you question yourself? Or get the feeling like you are losing your mind? Well today was one of those days for me. I don't know if it was because i was tired and already couldn't focus or if it was just me going crazy, but all day today I felt out of it. During classes I couldn't pay attention and was just having one of those days where I was forgetting everything and my mind was boggled. For example today I had to work after school. So after school i gathered all my stuff and then went into the bathroom to change into my work clothes. After i got changed I left the school and went down to my car. However when I reached my car all the way in the pit I found out I had forgotten my keys on the top shelf of my locker. Lets just say I was pretty pissed, so I had to walk all the way back up to the school and to my locker and then back down to my car, it was ridiculous! But anyways it was just one of those days...

For lack of something better to write about tonight i think I'm going to tell you about how bagels are probably one of the best foods in the world! As many of my friends may know bagels are my favorite food and i eat them all the time. Now you are probably thinking i am weird because of all the foods bagels are my favorite, but think about it they can be eaten in so many different ways and there are a ton of different flavors. You can eat them for breakast, lunch, dinner, or even a snack. You can make a sandwich with them, toast them, or just eat them plain. You can put peanut butter on them, jelly, butter, cream cheese, plain cheese, or even make egg sandwich's out of them. Not to mention if your highly active they are a great source of carbs before a workout. I know before swimming I always ate a bagel and never felt fatigued during a practice. So before I keep going on and on about bagels I think ill just end with the fact that they are basically amazing and you should go buy some. In fact im eating one as i write this:)

Unfortunate Events

Isn't it always funny how the worst things just seam to happen at the wrong time. Whether it be getting caught in the rain or getting stranded on the side of the road, these unfortunate events only seem to happen just to make things even worse than they were. Well my post today is about one of these nasty little events. This story however is not about me but my sister. So my sister was on her way home from her class at BU and wasn't in a very good mood due to her class and the weather and im sure other things...but anyway as she was on her way home her car broke down and she had to pull off in the Kmart parking lot(of all places!), she was stranded. I in the meantime was sitting at home in my nice warm house when she called me in a rage. However when she told me the story I couldn't help but laugh. I know it was a horrible thing to do and I think if we weren't as close as we are she would have bitten my head off later but thankfully she didn't. So anyways she called me and i had to go and pick her up, but this whole incident just reminded me how sometimes life can really suck. But its also these unfortunate events that bring laughter into our lives because even though they may seem horrible at the time, later when they are looked back upon they give everyone something to chuckle about:)

Nutrition blog

I found this blog on Self Magazines website about how to maintain a healthy diet while not having to sacrifice the foods you love. It is a very informative blog and tracks the eating habits of a specific person. This person was hired by the magazine and is a Dietician who is into fitness and exercising. The blogs point is to show people who are very active how and what to eat. This women blogs everyday about what she eats and takes pictures of her food, which she posts on the blog. Under the pictures are the nutrients facts, kind of like a nutrition label, for that specific food. She also talks about her exercising routines and then also just about her daily life. so if you want to learn how to eat healthier then check out this blog!

Procrastination

I have never been much of a procrastinator...until this year. All of a sudden it just gets harder and harder to get things done and I tend to have the attitude that if it isn't due the next day then it can wait. So i hadn't even touched or looked at a school book since last friday and today i realized I probably should get all of my work done. However when I looked at what I had to do I had no desire to do any of it! Mostly because i realized my whole day was going to be work. Needless to say I did do most of it, but there is some stuff I should have done earlier in the week, like projects, but I guess I will find sometime to do them the night before they're due. I think this whole procrastination ordeal started when life just got to busy. I mean its senior year and most teachers this year give assignments but rarely are they due the next day, so I started off getting these things done early but then I had to work or babysit or had practice and I would tell myself hey its not due tomorrow, but then the night before it was due I would be up till all hours of the night or I would save it to do during my other classes the next morning. So procrastination has definitly gotten the best of me and I probably should work on getting my assignments done that are due tomorrow, but then again theres always study hall:)

Patience...or lack of patience?

Today as i was driving my sister and myself home from our basketball game I realized I am a very impatient. I kept getting stuck behind very slow drivers and just ask my sister some not nice things were said...but anyways as i was stuck behind these drivers I concluded I could never city drive. I hate having to starts and stop and start and stop again, especially in a stick shift car where you have to keep changing gears...its just a royal pain in the ass! So that was that and then when I got home I was reading this new magazine that just came and there was an article in there about having patiences. As I was reading it I could relate to all of the factors that indicated you are an impatient person. I mean when my sister takes forever in the morning to get ready it drives me crazy because im ready to go and shes doing well I don't even know. Then theres this whole waiting for college acceptance letters and don't get me started about my job...so i guess what I'm trying to say is I should probably work on being a little more tolerant because i think im causing myself more stress then necessary! Sorry if this is all over the place but I didn't know what to write about and for some reason im really exhausted tonight(i hope im not getting sick!)

Oh No!

I'm not really sure what to blog about tonight so i guess i'll write about the small mishap we had as we were trying to leave Gore Mountain today. So my parents were pretty excited that we got through this skiing trip without any major problems or injuries, as they were telling me as we were walking to the car after we had finished for the day. Unfortunately they had spoken to soon! We got to the car and had taken off and put all our equiment away and were in the car ready to head back to the hotel. So my dad puts the car in reverse and we go absolutely nowhere. The truck is stuck! Apparently from the snow they had been getting all day ice had formed under the tires and the wheels weren't catching on anything so we went nowhere. My dad was not a happy camper so to say. He tried just about everything to get us out because he is one of those people who hates to ask for help. So anyways he made me get behind the wheel and try and reverse the truck while he pushed from the front, then the door, and then he even tried sitting on the back to see if added weight back there would do anything..nope. Eventually he did ask for help and this guy came with this huge John Deere machine and effortlessly pulled us out. Personally i was relieved because it was cold...if only my dad had asked for help sooner lol but what are you going to do. So that was our little mishap and unfortunately we will be back in Endicott tomorrow...hopefully there won't be any problems on the ride home!

Skiing!

Today my family and I went to Gore Mountain to ski for the day. It was a lot of fun. Skiing is one of thr things that i really love to do but dont get to do very often becasues it is so hard to find the time to go up to Greek between work and school. But for a couple of days we are up here and are skiing today and tomorrow. It was perfect conditions today the weather was nice and sunny and there was a little wind but it wasnt too bad. Although for some reason the gloves that i had were NOT keeping my hands warm so i suffered through frozen fingers but it was ok i made it through. As i was skiing though i saw all these like 4 and 5 year old kids learning how to ski and it was the cutest thing in the world. They were holding on to their parents poles and trying to survive the hill they were slowly inching down you couldnt help but laugh. And then they were all wearing these crazy hats with like bright colored spikes and stuff on them and it just made you want to be a kid all over again. So anyways it was a long day but it went by fast and i guess i have tomorrow to look forward to, but if you have never been skiing i suggest you go its exciting, easy, and if nothing else you can watch all the insane people take huge wipe outs:)

Family Vacations

So i love my family but our vacations drive me crazy! Today we left to go up to the Adirondacks to go skiing until Friday and let me tell you the preparation for this trip was stressful! My mom is the type of person who likes to have everything done her way. So today while she was at woek me and my sister decided to pack some of the stuff for her, well when she got home she basically unpacked it all and then repacked it, im serious, it pissed me off. Then when my dad got home he was all upsegt because we werent ready to go and i was like blame that one on your wife who had to repack everything...so we got off to a rough start and you think we would learn because this is typically how it goes before any vacation we go on but we dont. Then when we arrived at the hotel my sister dropped all of her stuff on the ground and broke the portable DVD player...lets just say that didnt improve our rough start. So now im wishing that i had stayed home because i forsee this "vacation" as a major headache. Then i dont know if anybody here has had experience with staying with your whole familyy in one hotel room, but it sucks. At least in your house there are plenty of other rooms you can go to to get away but in a one room hotel room theres nowhere. So i am currently sitting in a hotel room with my parents and sister and for some reason tonight they are all driving me insane, i think everyone is just on edge. Anyway that is my little rant on family togetherness. Dont get me wrong i love spending time with my family but space is definetly needed. So lets hope it gets better because i still have two nights here!

Dream Job

Well i was sitting here trying to think of what my dream job would, should be because in reality i really have no clue. I mean i want a job where i can be with family, travel, and still have time to do everyhting i love to do. So i became inspired by someone...what if you could have a job where you were someones number one fan and you were paid for it! Well my dream job would have to be being Tim Sagasti's number one fan and get tons of money for it(from him of course). In all actuality i wouldnt have to sacrifice time with family or things that i liked to do. All i would have to do is follow him basically everywhere with signs and whatnot and promote whatever it is he is doing at that point in his life. But think about it who else would be better to be a number one fan to? I mean according to Brian Shaver, and i quote "Tim Sagasti is the pinnacle of the human race, everything in the world has been leading up to the birth of Tim Sagasti." So as Brian so thoughtfully puts who better than to be a number one fan of. Some might even compare him to god(as his blog title suggests) he has brains, talent, is left handed, i mean im sure he will be very successful so my job is pretty much guareented. As you all may know he has recently been following creatures in the wild and his videos have been extremely popular attracting many fans so think about it- the number one fan to the next crocodile hunter, now theres a dream job!

Ok so this afternoon i went out for a run and as i was running i was thinking about what in the world i could blog about today. Then this lady ran past me and gave me an idea for a blog. So this lady that ran past me was fairly large chested(no i was not checking her out but i just noticed) because as she ran past i was like wow it must be hard to run with large boobs. And then i got to thinking about the recent videos of Kathleen and Victoria debating if large boobs or small boobs are better. So i thought i would use this blog to voice my opinion about this issue. My opinion is small boobs all the way. Now im not just saying this because i relate to the small boobs but think about what Kathleen said is true and im about to make another point. Small boobs just dont get in the way. For instance if you play sports you must understand this. Imagine having to run with huge boobs it has to be the most uncomfortable thing in the world as i witnessed this afternoon i mean if you do too much motion one of those could hit you in the eye and im sure you wouldnt want to explain your boob giving you a black eye..but anyways look at any female athlete they all have small boobs. They are out of the way and make quick puntual motions much easier. I mean i run and play babsketball and i couldnt imagine having to do thoses things with large boobs. Also with swimming smaller boobs give you less water resistance because the swimsuit can flatten them out more..see so there you go. Also with smaller boobs it is easier to find clothes that fit. With large boobs the chirts usually dont fit in the waist because you need them bigger at the top, and dress shopping is way easier as well. Also one last thought to ponder is swimsuits in the summer..its much easier on a girl to shop for and wear a swim suit if they have smaller boobs, one it fits better and the girls dont have to worry about falling out and two because it fits better when the girls go tubing, waterskiing or swimming they dont have to worry about surfacing topless. So there you go that is my take on the small versus large boob issue...its amazing what pops into your head during a nice run...

Have you ever left the house and noticed that you smell like something that might have been previosly cooked in the house? Well i have and it drives me crazy! For instance tonight my mom made this coconut chicken for dinner(not very good sorry mom) anyway whatever she used to make it made the house smell horrible! But not only that the smell lingered through the whole house and after two hours of this meal being cooked i can still smell it and its not pleasant. Also Saturday my dad made bacon and bacon is one of those foods that also makes the whole house smell. Well my coat was in the kitchen that morning and when i went to put it on last night i smelt like bacon. Its like you can always tell if someones been at a restaurant or been cooking bacon because when they walk by your like o they had bacon today. So foods to avoid cooking include garlic, bacon, onions, and apparently coconut chicken? Theres probably others but thoses are the worst ones that comes to mind as i sit here in my smelly house!

Lazy Days

My favorite days are those days where you have nothing planned and can just do whatever you want. Today was one of those days. Vacation just started so homework doesnt need to be done until say next sunday night so you have the whole day to just catch up on tv shows or read a book or bake cookies or i dont know. But its relaxing to know that you have the day to your yourself and honestly i think everybody needs one of these days every once in awhile otherwise stress will kill us all! So if nothing else take a "me" day and enjoy it!

Jumper

I just went to see the movie Jumper and i must say it was a pretty good movie. It had alot of action some romance and a little humor, so basically it covered it all(aka it was well rounded). During the movie i was thinking about how cool it would be to be able to have some sort of supernatural power. I mean if i cold teleport anywhere it would be awesome. i would travel the world and go to all these different places that i would never have to money now to go visit! So think about it what power would you like to have? I mean being invisible would be awesome too like the girl in The Incredibles, you could hide yourself in any situation. So if you havent seen Jumper yet go, now hurry! Im pretty sure you'll like it.

obnoxscious people

There is nothing i hate more than people who are just down right rude and concieted. So today is Valentines Day and probably one of the most busiest days of the year for restaurants. You think people would understand this but for some reason they dont and they think they should have special treatment over everybody else like they are some type of God.Well they arent and frankly they just piss me off. I had to work tonight and it was extremely busy at the red lobster. Some peole are understanding and can wait the hour that it is going to take for their table to be ready where as others decide to stand right on top of you and ask is it their turn yet. One thing i cannot stand is people who hover. This one man tonight thought he would just stand right next to me and watch every move i made, as if watching me would make his turn come up qquicker! it didnt. He frustrated me so much and not just him there were others. Also the phone would not stop ringing! One lady decided to yell at me because the wait was an hour...over the phone she wasnt even in the restaurant! People are just so inconsiderate and need to learn to think of other people other than just themselves! Im sorry if this is all over the place but i needed to let my frustration out somewhere!

ahh snow!

Ok so this snow is driving me crazy! Winter in Endicott sucks. First of all having to shovel the driveway is a pain. You start shoveling it and then by the time you get to the other end more snow has fallen where you started. Not to mention the snow is always half melted and slushy so its wet, heavy, and slippery. Also having to brush off the car and scrape the ice before school is annoying. Then today i had to run out to the store. It was miserable! I was getting all snowy and the snow that was on the ground was wet slush. My feet got soaking wet and because it was slippery I almost fell two times in the parking lot it was horrible! So basically, don't get me wrong i love the snow days, but the snow itself needs to go. It just makes life hectic and i have learned that therses nothing i can do about it but just hope spring comes sooner!

Overprotective Schools

Schools are way to protective over the students. They shelter us way too much and consequently issues arise over the fact that we cant have certain priveledges in school. I mean almost every website on the computer is blocked and so many books and movies are banned from being read or watched in school. Its ridiculous! The schools should realize that kids are exposed to way worse than what could be in these books or movies and because of their prevention ith ink students are more likely to rebel more. If students cant be exposed to more than just "G" rated then learning becomes dull and students may lose interest. On the other hand im not saying teachers should be free to show whatever i mean there has to be some sort of line but the line we have now could be pushed back.

Senioritis

I think its about that time of the year when everyone starts getting sick of school. Well its that time for me. I have major senioritis. Its the second half of the year and rank is done and i have been accepted into college and all of these classes are so stressful! I cant wait until im out on my own and i think that thought process is literally hurting me in school. Im trying really hard to keep my grades up but it is so easy to just slack off with all these other temptations of things to do and not to mention work, itsjust hard to find time for evrything. So i guess what im saying graduation cant come soon enough.
